Things are heating up in Buckeye Country! The game is only hours away! I will work for a few hours on Saturday, but will close things up early! Go Bucks! It will be a ghost town as game time approaches. Stayed home last night and enjoyed a quiet evening watching the West Virginia game with the boys!
Been busy living and haven’t had a chance to write. We have attended 2 awards banquets this week, both for Ethan. Last night he won the Titus Arnold Award, an award given to the scholar athlete, who most exhibits care, compassion, and sense of community. We were very Proud of him. I told him I would rather him win this award than first team all conference, because it shows you are not only a good scholar and athlete; but you also have character!
Ohio State was awesome!
Kansas State game was Fantastic!
Cincinnati Bengals Suck!
Giants vs Bears in progress…
When I first read Elton Johns comments calling for a ban of Religion, I was politely dissmissive. But as I read through the article I found myself agreeing with him on a couple points. I certainly don’t agree with his stance on homosexuality, but I do agree with him that the religious leaders of our world should be more of a positive, and visible influence in our day! (Sort of the salt and light thing!)
I mean who can really disagree with this statement John made?
“Organized religion doesn’t seem to work. It turns people into really hateful lemmings and it’s not really compassionate. The world is near escalating to World War Three and where are the leaders of each religion?
“10 Vital Signs of a Healthy Church” a booklet I have been writing is almost finished. You will be able to order them soon. I will keep you informed. Let me know if you would be interested in a copy.
Jack Palance dies. I thought he was already dead!

Bill Walsh battles leukemia.
I woke up early this morning, read the paper, took in the news. It is a rainy, blustery, day in Springfield, with the temp in the mid 50’s. Michelle, is meeting several friends this afternoon to cook, drink some wine, and talk about their husbands. I will work and then take in the Ohio State game. Last night, we had dinner at one of our favorite places, then rented a couple movies, and headed home. It was nice to be together for the evening.
In recent days I have had discussions with several people as to whether a pastor who has been divorced, should be able to pastor again? What do you think?
