I need to become a weather forecaster, because the ones in our area are horrible. Maybe I shouldn’t be so hard on the news bunnies, after all they do serve a purpose; they are enjoyable to stare at! Though they certainly cannot track weather systems. Our 5″ of snow turned out to be rain, and only small amounts of that! (I know! I’m a sexist!)
Lately, I have been perusing the various accessory and parts magazines, and once again have become dissatisfied with my Aero (At least they do their job). Here’s a few things I am considering…
1. Adding a light bar.
2. Replacing the current windshield.
3. New paint.
4. Adding a backrest for my seat.
Is there anything you are wanting to change, or add to your motorcycle?
I am exhausted. It is that time at work when you are almost ready to leave for the day, so you don’t want to begin a new project, but there’s enough time left where you feel you should keep busy. Screw it! I am going to mess around.
Everyone in our area is bracing for another storm system to roll through within the next few hours. 5″ or more, of the white stuff is being predicted, which means less than 1″.
I rode the Aero in today hoping to give her a bath, guess that will have to wait. I am ready to go home!
Check out this great article from Clutch and Chrome, entitled “7 More Things New Riders Do Completely Wrong”
After spending a lazy Sunday morning around the house. I decided to jump on the bike and brave the elements. I stopped by a friend’s house to check out his freshly painted motorcycle. Ricky had spent the past couple of days painting his ride and putting it all back together. He did a fantastic job with paint, and after admiring it for a while he decided it was time to fire the bad boy up.

I hope all of you are having a fantastic weekend. Springfield’s weather is going to be nice enough to put a few miles on the Aero, so I am going to have a nice breakfast then hit the road.
Todays definition is…
“RAT BIKE” A motorcycle that is usually mechanically sound and well-maintained but that looks as if it has been ridden through a war zone or as if it has been assembled from the wrecked carcasses of several other motorcycles. See the Wikipedia entry on this subject for more information.
* Thanks to Tim Smith for suggesting this term.
Diane Lorang writes an honest article about her bike accident. She shares the various things she did right as well as the things she did wrong. All of us can benefit from her insightful and honest examination of this awful event. Check it out.
A quick shout out to Ryan, from “Rt. 40 Signs” in Springfield, Ohio. He helped me update my logo for Keep The Rubber Side Down. Thanks buddy, I owe you a beer!
Check out the shirts here.
