A Great Investment

One of the fundamental purposes of this site is to encourage others to not only enjoy cycling, but life.  It is so easy for our lives to become only an existence, to live on cruise control, if you will.   We get so busy just trying to get through the day we often fail to invest any energy in much else.

So as we approach this holiday weekend, I hope you will make an investment in the people around you who ultimately make life; well, LIFE!

By…

  • really listening to your spouse or significant other.
  •  having a conversation with your kids.
  • helping a neighbor with a small project.
  • calling your mom.
  • connecting with a buddy you’ve lost touch with.
  • taking a solo ride.

Great suggestions! Even the solo ride! As much as I love our group rides and of course my rides with Pete, I do like getting out a lone every now and then. It is the one time I do not even listen to music. Just roll along and take life in.

Call you Mom.. Dad sister etc.. Both my parents have been gone for a bit. Losing both my parents at an early age sucks so trust me, you have a rift with someone in your family? End it now.. cause I would give my left arm to talk to my parents today.

Happy and safe Memorial Day, All!!

and.. Keep the Rubber Side Down!

Which reminds me I need to order a shirt from your site Rick!

Hey Rick! I’m glad to hear you had a good trip and have made it back safely. I also appreciated reading your suggestions on how to treat the people in your life.

On a semi-related note… I vote your next adventure should be skydiving. :) Yeah. It’s fun.
