Solo In Myrtle Beach
“Be careful!”, “I love you!”, “See you next Sunday!”, and with that, the phone was silent. Jonathan, my oldest son, is riding his motorcycle to Myrtle Beach, where he will meet up with his girlfriend and her parents. They will be spending a week enjoying the sun and surf. It’s a long trip for a young man to ride solo, but he has ridden this route with me and I have tried to teach him well.
They all have to strike out on their own eventually. It must be a weird feeling when you finally have to let them go. At least he had the benefit of being taught well, and that counts for a lot out on the road. I’m sure he’ll do fine.
Thanks for the encouragement. I have spent a great deal of time riding with him. After a trip we would always discuss the things we did right and the things we did wrong. He is a good rider, but you are always apprehensive!
You are a great inspiration and techer, I am sure all will be well! Pass on well wishes and have lots of fun to Jonathan!
They have to learn to fly, someday, best they learn it early. I hope he has the greatest experience possible…
I hope you’re doing great as well.
Hey Camron! Thanks for stopping in. He is doing great and totally enjoying the beach. Thanks!
