Living in Missouri we ride along Old Hwy 66 a lot! As a matter of fact this up coming weekend we are going t Devil's Elbow, MO. A town that has been forgotten with the *closure* of Rte 66. But would be great to go from Chicago all the way to LA!

I will certainly be giving this trip some thought. I imagine it isn't the most exciting ride in the world, but it would be great to share in the history of the famed road.

I officially put the RT66 ride on my "Bucket List" this year. I plan to make the trip in 2009 or (more likely) 2010. I want to spend two weeks riding to CA, taking my sweet time and enjoying the locations, then ship the bikes back to Ohio.

I have been told that it is a boring ride; too many traffic lights and too much city driving. But, I love to ride and I am going to do it. Let me know if you want in on the planning and someone to ride with. I only have one guy so far who wants to do it.

I would also like to ride the Pacific Coast Highway someday. Another item for my "Bucket List".
