2 of My Favorite Things

I am the luckiest guy alive!  On Sunday, I did two of my favorite things in the entire universe;  hang out with my boys, and ride motorcycles.  It was “Family Day” at Findlay University, and with my wife out of town, Jonathan and I, rode our bikes up.  We left Springfield at 9:00 a.m. riding through the thickest fog I have seen since last fall.

We arrived in Findlay around 11:00 a.m. and got Ethan out of bed.  After hanging around the dorm for a while , we headed off  for some lunch, then to take in the newly released film;  “Righteous Kill“, with Al Pacino and Robert De Nero.  (You talkin’ to me?)  Great flick, you have to go see it!

It was good for Jonathan and Ethan, to see each other, they miss one another more than they anticipated.  Around 8:00 p.m. we said our good-byes then headed home! 

The two hour ride seemed only a few miles, as I thought about how fast the boys have grown into men , and how proud I am of them both. It was a good day.  It was a really good day!

    To the tune of “a few of my favorite things”….. When the dog bites, when the bee stings, when I’m feeling sad. I simply remember my 2 favorite things, that’s motorcycles and beeeeeing a dad!

    Great post brother. My kids are growing up fast too. I can relate.
