Motorcycle Maxims Part 1
For some time I have been collecting maxims. Maxims are defined as…
1 : a general truth, fundamental principle, or rule of conduct.
2 : a proverbial saying.
Over the next couple of posts I will share a few maxims I have collected regarding motorcycles/riding etc. These aren’t original to me, and frankly I don’t know who said most of them, but if I know the author I will give the proper credit. I also realize my list isn’t exhaustive, so I would love to hear some of the ones you have heard. Feel free to chime in, should be fun!

Hmm…
I usually tend to be pretty knowledgible when it comes to quotes, maxims and the like. I have to admit though… I hadn’t seen most of these before.
The only thing I would add to this is, “Never buy starter relays or wives from a guy selling them from the trunk of a car in Colombia.”

Never buy/ride a motorcycle you can’t push.
Problems with a motorcycle are usually caused by the loose nut connecting the handlebars to the seat.
Not all who wander are lost
I love #11 !
I live by rule #11, that’s also why I love my particular bike so much, I’m rarely “lost”.
E.T.
I’ve heard most of them… #6 was actually an ad slogan in a campaign put out by Honda in the 60’s trying to play on the fear cagers had of Harley riders… Like the outlaw biker was invented by Harley…
But I have to ask what exactly is ATGATT?
