“Hell Ride” Hell To Watch!

I trust everyone had too much to eat, and that you didn’t kill your dumb-ass brother in law, during the holiday’s.

I want to brag on the folks at Alaska Leather Company, for their outstanding service.  On Thanksgiving Day, I emailed them a question about a replacement strap for my sheepskin butt-pad; anticipating an answer on Monday.  Within an hour they responded to my question, and my order was on it’s way.  That is customer service at its finest. I highly recommend this company.

Friday was a very long day for me, as work was slow, and I was feeling a bit under the weather.  On the way home I decided to pick up the DVD of Hell Ride,  grab a pizza, make a fire, and chill out.  Which is exactly what I did!  A California Pizza, a Sam Adams, and it’s movie time.   Man was I disappointed!  “Hell Ride is the worse movie I have ever seen!” The plot sucked, the acting sucked, the way it was shot sucked, the women even sucked (literally)! The saving grace for the evening? The pizza was great, and the beer was better!

Have any of you seen the movie?  If so, what was your take?

I have not seen that particular movie, but can it really be any worse than “Sons Of Anarchy”? I tuned in for the pilot, and almost choked on how cheesy it was. As soon as I heard a character admonish another “you sold crank to my pregnant ex-wife!” I could not help myself. With shows like this on prime time, it’s no wonder the cage-world thinks all bikers are ignorant creeps…
But I do have to agree about the beer. I have found that I really like most of Sam Adam’s varieties. The Boston Lager Is one of my favorites… oh, and the Pale Ale..
    Thanks For Sharing!

    Hell Ride wasn’t THAT bad.
I’ve seen a lot of negative reviews for this movie and I think that people aren’t looking at it correctly. This movie was never meant to be a huge production block-buster. It’s more of an homage to the biker genre flicks that were so popular during the 60’s and early 70’s. The movies were all about awesome bikes with loads of gratuitous sex and violence. I think that Bishop and Tarantino nailed it pretty good.

Take the movie for what it was originally intended to be. If people watch it expecting any more than that, they’ll probably be disappointed.
