A Great Week Of Riding.
Last week was fantastic for riding! By Thursday the roads were free of snow and ice, leaving a clean surface for the RT to do her thing. It was my privilege to waste a great deal of time wandering the back-roads of Clark, Miami, and Champaign counties, stopping frequently to snap photos of frozen streams, oddly shaped snow drifts, and cows enjoying an afternoon meal of hay. While riding along I was reminded that even the most familiar scenery appears so different against a winter back drop. Simple things really are quite beautiful if we take the time to notice.
I will say, anytime I can go through a couple tanks of fuel in the middle of January, I consider myself one lucky fellow!
Keep The Rubber Side Down!

I was out on Friday, also. It was a balmy 50 degrees here in the Cincinnati area, and the roads were dry. However, all it did was wet my appetite for more.

Damn, you sure are lucky!
I don’t know that I’ve ever seen a winter road that didn’t have snow and ice on it. Glad that you’re able to get out and enjoy.
We had one day in the ’50’s…and I couldn’t get out to ride. Since then the temps have been pretty fair as well…mid to low 40’s…sigh, my Mom is sick and as her caretaker…I can’t get out for the ride I so badly need and want. I’ll read the ride reports of others until Mom gets better…
Thanks for putting this up.
Wandering back roads on a bike is never wasted time!
