    this saddens me. **karma can be a bitch, they will get theirs. i hope that he continues on his journey and that his ride and experiences improve.

    Actually that was from last year… this dude (on the scooter) ended up being a major scammer. Said the ride was all for charity. He got a Vespa from a US dealer and rode across the US on the dole of others hospitality that he was doing it for charity etc… They now say the mugging was staged for sympathy to get more money and a laptop from modernvespa folks who were following his ride. He never did any volunteering work, just partying everywhere he went.

    StLouis Vespa fell for the scam as well giving him new tires and fluid change as well as free labor and a big party via local 2 stroke folks.
