When Do You Put Away Your Motorcycle?
A buddy visited the office today and in the midst of our conversation told me he had put his motorcycle up for the year. When will you put away your motorcycle?

Well, I keep it in the garage year ’round, but I never winterize it. I go riding through the winter when a nice day comes along. –Brent
Never.
I don’t! Rear round ridin’ for me baby!!
Put it away? What for?
+1 on never.
Sometime after they pronounce me dead.
WOW! You are some hard core riders. Love it.
When they start salting the roads. Where I live (upstate NY) they salt roads at the first snowfall.
I don’t put her up either. Well, it is a bit easier for me since it usually doesn’t snow or get too cold to ride in Vegas. I think though, even if I were not in a desert, my bike would still stand at the ready, waiting for rideable days.
I stabilize the gas, but mine is never put up for good during the winter. It has to be ready for that 15-30 ride on an ice free winter day.
Never! But then, I have a scooter. Only snow or ice or heavy thunderstorms keep me from riding.
Every night we roll into the garage - ready to play another day.
It’s easy to ride year round in South Florida, but also rode year round when I lived in TN too. Can’t imagine having to put Pearl away for the winter - that would just be cruel
Dear Rick:
I ride until the local townships salt and sand the roads. It is no fun washing off the endless white salt steaks from my black engine covers.
After the first salting of the roads.
There is no question winter salt wreaks having on chrome and paint. The Rt is mostly tupperware so it is easy for me to spray her off and move on.
When they pry my cold dead hand from the throttle!
