Sipping my first cup of coffee as I sit down to write this post. I can feel the cool air gently blowing through the partial raised window. Looks like another gorgeous day! I spent most of Wednesday cleaning up my yard in the aftermath of Sunday’s windstorm. With nothing pressing, and in no hurry to complete the task, I enjoyed a couple cigars as I leisurely went about the clean up effort. When my wife came home from work we jumped on the RT and rode for an hour and half. It was a cool and quiet ride as we enjoyed one another’s company and the beautiful scenery, enhanced by a brilliant, setting sun. One of those really good days!
A major crisis was narrowly averted at my home this a.m. After a peaceful night of sleep I awakened, and headed immediately to the coffee pot, only to find we were out of coffee! NO COFFEE!!!!!!!!!!! How does this happen? Who’s responsible? Damn it , Michelle! (someone has to take the fall)
In a panic I rushed into the butler pantry; Nothing! Under the cabinets, behind the Lucky Charms, Nothing! Over to the freezer, and there behind some type of frozen carcass and the sweet peas, I found an old bag of Starbucks: “Breakfast Blend”(roll the music). Hallelujah! All is well.

With a level 3 Snow Emergency in place for Clark County almost everything is shut down. The Miami Valley normally recieves 1-3 inches of snow, but this weekend we were hammered with 15 inches of the devils powder. Oh well, we have plenty of food, coffee, firewood, and cigars. Have a good Sunday!

The air was cool and crisp, as the sun was beginning to set below the cityscape. It had been a good day! I had taken some time off from work, and lazily piddled away the hours, catching up on some small duties in the yard, and around the house. The morning had started bright and early, with a trip to McDonald’s for a coffee and a cinnamon roll, and now at dusk, I find myself satisfied, yet, a little weary, sitting around a small campfire, with Dakota at my feet, and a hot cup of black coffee in my hand, listening to; Dylan, Seegar, Mozart, and even Rascal Flatts. I light my cigar, and now, I am content!

I just got home and had a nice dinner of beef, mixed veggies, and rice. The coffee is brewing, and I am about to settle in and watch the Saints and the Titans. It was a hard day and I am looking forward to a little relaxation. I could certainly use a massage!

10:15 p.m. and I have just returned from Jackass Flats. It was a chilly ride home and I am ready for some hot coffee. Tonight the band was excellent and the place was packed with plenty of bikes, and… well; never mind. I went into work for a little while this morning, then came home to cut grass, burn some leaves in the fire pit, and complete a few little odd jobs. Well it sounds like the coffee has finished brewing, and it certainly smells delicious, so I will write more tomorrow. Have a good night’s sleep!
