My Boys and the Cleveland Browns
7:00 a.m. Sunday morning, and I am blasted by the arctic wind as I open my front door. I hug the boys and watch them throw their gear into the car, and pull out of the driveway. As I shut the door I offer a silent prayer for their safety as they travel to Cleveland, some three hours to the North. Jonathan, and Ethan, have tickets to today’s Cleveland Browns game. And although, they will be traveling in blizzard like conditions, they have decided to make the trek. The weather forecast is predicting 8″ of snow and winds in excess of 40 mph. “Oh to be young again”! Or is that; young and stupid?
PS.
The boys have returned safely, and the Browns beat the Bills, 8 to 0.
GO Bucks!
If you are a Buckeye fan today is the most holy of days. One of the greatest rivalries in all of sports, will kick off at noon in the god forsaken state of Michigan. I am at work, but will be able to watch the game as the streets are desolate and eerily quiet. Yes it is a great day…

Today A Tradition Ends
Today I will be attending the final game for the South H.S. Wildcats. Next Fall, North High School, and South High School, will merge into one large school. Today both teams will meet to play their final game as North and South! It is a sad day! For over 60 years the Wildcat tradition has been proud and strong, an inner city school, striking fear into the hearts and souls of every opponent they faced. Today the tradition comes to an end! I am proud to say both of my sons attended South High School, and had the honor of being a Wildcat! I know change is inevitable, but Tradition has it’s place, I am glad we were a small part of that tradition! Go Wildcats!
It Is Sunday!
Good Sunday Morning! The coffee is strong and hot! I am to meet a couple friends for breakfast, then together we will head to the meeting place for this years 29th Annual Toy Run. The organizers are anticipating some 900 bikers to be present for the charity event.
Ethan played his last home game Friday night. They have one game left but it is away, and on Saturday afternoon. He has had a nice four year H.S. career, and it is sad to see it end. Yet soon we will have the chance to watch him step into a new season of his life. Here’s a few photos! Have a safe Sunday!
