Brighton vs Arsenal LIVE: Premier League result, final score and reaction

Top-flight Brighton missed the opportunity to level the points with Premier League leaders Chelsea after a goalless draw that ended Arsenal’s winning run.

Albion dominated a soggy encounter at Amex Stadium but only managed two attempts on target as Leandro Trossard, Dan Burn and Neal Maupay failed to capitalize on decent openings.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang headed outside a post for the uninspiring Gunners, who were denied a fourth rebound victory after starting the campaign with three straight losses.

The Seagulls sit fifth with 14 points in seven games, with visiting Mikel Arteta four places and just as many points behind.

Arsenal survive a late VAR check for an alleged Gabriel foul on Duffy.

Nothing is given, which means Londoners will go home with a dot in their name.

Alan Smith bestows the Man of the Match award on Cucurella, and rightly so.

It’s the honors even on the south coast tonight.

74 minutes: Another replacement for Arsenal, who calls on Alexandre Lacazette in place of Aubameyang.

The game has just slowed down for the last five minutes, which allowed the opposing team to gain a little more foothold in the game.

A well-worked block then sees Smith-Rowe break through on goal, but from a tight angle Sanchez is able to parry the ball away.

69 mins: Brighton is back on top with Maupay having yet another volley effort on goal – which ends high and wide.

Arsenal seem happy to sit down and hope they have a chance to hit the hosts at the break.

Despite Brighton’s excellent play, it is still delicately balanced before the last 20 minutes.

63 minutes: Here is the scorer of Arsenal’s last trip to the Amex – Nicolas Pepe.

The Ivorian replaces Martin Odegaard, who really struggled to impact the match tonight.

Brighton’s high line could be perfect for Pepe to exploit – if Arsenal can come out of their own half.

Brighton 0 – 0 Arsenal

58 mins: Arsenal look lively on the clock again, this time thanks to Saka.

The England star wins a corner for his team, which temporarily puts the opposing goalkeeper under pressure.

However, not for the first time in this game, the move is then canceled by an unnecessary long-range shot from Partey.

After the missed opportunities of the home side, Arsenal are still very present in this game.
