– WWE broadcaster and backstage interviewer Cathy Kelley announced in a statement regarding her Twitter account today that she will be leaving WWE after this weekend. She announced that Sunday’s NXT TakeOver: Portland will be her last show. You can read her full statement which she shared earlier today below.
I’ve typed and deleted this about 20 times over the past few days, still don’t know what to write… I made the decision to quit WWE with Sunday’s NXT Takeover being my last day. If you know me you know it was more than a job, you know how much I loved it and how difficult this decision was. But sometimes, in order to have room for growth, you have to step back. I am so grateful that I have been able to live a crazy dream over the past four years. Thanks to the WWE Digital Team for being a platform that has never stifled creativity. Thanks to Stephanie McMahon for being a mentor and inspiration in all respects. Thanks to Triple H for running the best wrestling show on TV right now and allowing me to be a part of it. And thank you to everyone who supported me, whether it was watching a video I made or sending an encouraging tweet. Words can’t begin to express how much this means.
I’m not sure where my next chapter will take me yet, but I’m damn excited for it. And I promise you it’s not goodbye, it’s just see you later – CK
