Discover the Luna Racer edition, the new 3D printed electric motorcycle from Tarform

Tarform motorcycles might not have the most stylish and appealing design to suit everyone’s taste, but they make up for it in other ways. The company aims to manufacture electric motorcycles with modern, durable and scalable features, thanks to their modular design. About 55% of bicycle parts are 3D printed using recycled materials such as recycled aluminum, biodegradable leather and flax fibers. You can upgrade just about anything on them, from the battery to the software and even the body.

The Luna was announced in 2018 and it was initially available in a single version, called the Scrambled Edition. But things are behind schedule and the bike is still just a concept. Now the company has announced a new version, the Cafe Racer Edition, and they’re both available for pre-order for the same price of $ 24,000. Tarform says they will both hit the market this summer.

There aren’t too many differences between the Scrambler and the Racer, as they both have the same specifications in terms of weight, battery and engine. Both come with a 55 HP motor and 10 kWh drums. They both weigh 440 lbs (200 kg).

Inspired by the British 1960s, the Racer differs from the Scrambler mainly in terms of design. It is fitted with the Avon Sport ST street tires, comes with a slightly lower suspension and there are a few lines on the battery box, which the Scrambler lacks. The Racer also has black anodized bars, a swingarm, indicators and mirrors.

The Luna comes with a 3.4 inch HD display with Bluetooth, a 180 degree HD rear view camera and three driving modes. It can reach speeds of up to 120 mph (193 km / h) and go from 0 to 60 mph (96 km / h) in 3.8 seconds. It has a range of 120 miles (193 km).

You can pre-order the new Luna Racer edition now on the Tarform website. The price of the bike is $ 24,000 and you can choose to pay in installments of $ 400 per month.
