CHELSEA OWNER WANTS TO RETURN LUKAKU …
Belgian striker Lukaku, who just won the Serie A title with Inter Milan, is a key target this summer for the Blues, who squeezed into the Premier League top four last season before winning the League champions.
Eurosport Reports Abramovich is rolling up his sleeves and getting directly involved in the transfer market this offseason to help strengthen manager Thomas Tuchel’s side.
Tuchel is entering his first summer transfer window as Chelsea boss and looking to make some fundamental changes as he aims to leave his mark on the squad.
After a series of loan spells, Lukaku left Chelsea in the summer of 2014 at the age of 21, to play for Everton, Manchester United and now Inter Milan.
However, Lukaku has desperately lost form in Manchester – but he’s back to his best in Italy after scoring a 30-goal season.
Eurosport reports that talks with Manchester City could derail Chelsea’s hopes of bringing him back to Stamford Bridge, however.
Reports suggest Lukaku was valued by Chelsea at around £ 100million (AU $ 183million).
… AND HE WILL CLOSE THE HOUSE FOR THIS TO HAPPEN
If Lukaku leaves Inter, Chelsea will have to make room.
According to Daily mail, the European champions intend to make more than enough space with a whopping 11 players on the chopping block.
Tuchel is chasing up to four signings across the board, which could see a slew of fringe players sent out on loan or sold entirely.
The publication reports that Fikayo Tomori, Olivier Giroud and Ross Barkley could all leave West London.
Much like Tammy Abraham, who Chelsea are said to be willing to sell for £ 40million (AU $ 73.25million).
In addition to signing a striker, Tuchel would like additions to the center-back, center midfielder and rear.
THE SUPERB CITY GAME FOR KANE
As Chelsea seek four rookies, Manchester City are reportedly considering selling four first-team players in a bid to secure Harry Kane’s services.
City are still the big favorites to land the Tottenham forward, but his signing will almost certainly see other players pushing the door to the Etihad.
The size of the sacrifice could ultimately be immense, with Athleticism reporting that Riyad Mahrez, Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus AND Aymeric Laporte could be dispatched to secure funds for Kane.
Sterling was bought by City in 2015 for £ 49million, Jesus in 2016 for £ 27million, Mahrez in 2018 for £ 60million and Laporte the same year for £ 57million, making their sales a sacrifice of 193 million pounds sterling (353.5 million Australian dollars).
City are desperate to find a new striker after finally parting ways with Sergio Aguero, who joined Barcelona for free, while Sterling was out of form.
Arsenal are said to be keen to sign the 26-year-old, which could derail a deal for Kane if City are only willing to offer a more cash player deal.
Pep Guardiola was reported on Tuesday as being ready to offer Sterling and Jesus more money to sign Kane.
