Acoustic insulation manufacturer Hush Acoustics has completed its move to a new site in Sheffield which offers more production and storage capacity of its range of soundproofing products.
Having outgrown its former site in Liverpool, Hush Acoustics wanted to capitalize on its growth potential and meet the strong demand for soundproofing solutions from the UK building industry.
With no suitable sites available on Merseyside, the business looked further afield for its new home and settled in an ideal building in Sheffield.
Its new headquarters and factory at Tinsley Industrial Estate spans over 15,000 square feet, a 46% increase over the company’s previous site, and employs 15 people.
The extra space already provides the company with additional storage space for raw materials and storage of finished products, as well as the possibility of increasing production volumes, allowing them to minimize lead times and respond quickly to customer requests.
In addition to Hush Acoustics’ range of wooden soundproofing products, such as Hush-Panel 28 acoustic floor panels, the team at the new Yorkshire factory will manufacture all of its rubber-based insulation materials, including including its acoustic membranes for concrete floors.
Robert Crampton, MD said, “Our move to new premises marks the start of an exciting new era of growth for Hush and I am delighted with the facilities and additional capacity we now have.
“The acoustic comfort and soundproofing of our homes, offices, public buildings, hotels, schools and many other building types is becoming an increasingly important design and specification consideration for new build and conversion projects.
“We are committed to ensuring that the construction industry has access to the best performing products and systems.”
Hush Acoustics was founded over 30 years ago in Scotland and in 1998 moved to Liverpool from where a national distribution network was developed.
Today, the company provides acoustic solutions for separating floors, ceilings and walls in new construction and renovation projects.
