Dogs are man’s best friend. They will cheer you up when you’ve had a tough day, remind you that they have your back and love you forever.
But sometimes dogs need a little more love and patience. This is where Cesar Millan comes in.
The 52-year-old Mexican-American dog trainer is best known for his Emmy-nominated TV series “Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan,” which aired in over 80 countries. It’s available to stream now on Disney+, Amazon, AppleTV and more.
During the show, Millan worked with struggling dogs to rehabilitate their relationships, mannerisms and tendencies.
Millan continues his canine work to this day and sees it as a chance to restore balance.
“It’s great to bring stability to the world because the world needs it,” Millan told The Post in an exclusive interview. “For me, it’s not a job. It’s a mission. It is a movement.
Over the countless years of Dog Whisperer canine rehabilitation, Millan has rediscovered the importance of trust, respect, love, relationships, connection and communication, as these are all essential aspects of a rehabilitated dog.
“All dogs have what everyone is looking for,” Millan said. “They always remind me of the importance of being calm, comforting, loving and joyful.”
When we focus on these key values, unlike the physical focus of the world, we generate the energy that will allow us to survive amidst the chaos around us, according to Millan.
This idea is what spurred Millan’s latest attempt: “Better Human Better Dog.”
The new series, which already has a full season on Disney+, Amazon Prime, AppleTV and more, focuses on education, entertainment, enlightenment and the simplicity of life through the lens of dog training.
“Life is simple,” said MilMillanan. “We complicate things.”
Millan hopes the show’s central message and dogs as a whole will help unite the human race, because it starts with dogs but can transcend all.
