The Destructoid Stream Talent Contest is over and we have a winner!

Congratulations Rocky!

Update: Congratulations to RockyNoHands, our big winner! A special thank you to all of our candidates and to all of our community members who voted. If you missed the show, watch the replay here.

My friends, it’s not over yet – a new competition will be announced in the next two weeks as we prepare for this year. Luminosity Gaming Rising Stars Tournament, with a prize pool of $ 30,000. Stay tuned!

Over the past month, dozens of streamers – including familiar (and impeccably sexy) faces from the Destructoid community – faced off in our first-ever So You Think You Can Stream contest.

The price? $ 5,000 (US dollars, not Dollarydoos) and a quick entry into Luminosity Gaming’s Top 32 next Rising Stars contest, where they will fight once again for an even greater price; $ 100,000 and a one-year contract to stream with these esports titans.

Well, it’s almost over. Tonight, the top three streamers and a fan favorite voted by the community will compete for the top prize.

Here are our top three competitors:

Alongside these three streamers, the choice of the community, BadGalShay!

It’s been a hell of a month, though. We saw streamers happily dancing in Christmas tree costumes, people trying to appeal to our resident streamer – Dreezy – the creeping desire for mayonnaise, and we were lucky enough to hear the sweet, sultry voice of ZombieBody. We also got to see PerfectlyBalancedGus’ adorable kitten during her pre-stream interview!

Cat feeds are the best feeds.

Oh, and I guess the community was subjected to the sight of me trying to string together some vaguely cohesive comments after a few beers, but it’s neither here nor there. Mistakes have been made.

Either way, it will be a grand finale! So join us at 8 p.m. EST on the Destructoid Twitch Channel and see all the action! No
