She recommends that retailers invest in staff training and create simple on-the-go equipment for aquarium customers, which will ultimately help reduce attrition in aquatics.
Beginner aquarists will seek help with everything from dietary needs to aquarium maintenance. Retailers that focus on education to support first-time hobbyists are also likely to retain regular aquarists, leading to increased revenue in the Aquatic Sales category.
